Well brother and sisters, moms and dads, aunts and uncles, friends and family, oh and great grandma. Wait.... u don't have any sisters...... It was a great week to say the least and I'm greatful to be here in brooklyn. The Lord is so involved in this work and I'm so so greatful to serve as a missionary. We have been teaching a family (mom and son) "Moe and Amaziah". I had met them on Coney Island back in May and she wanted to come to church but couldn't that week then from May into August she didn't answer the phone. Fast forward to about two weeks ago she picked up and I invited her to study with us and to be baptized. She was a little hesitant but after teaching her about the restoration, The Book Of Mormon, Joseph Smith, and especially Russell M. Nelson it was lights out and she desired baptism so much. All of the lessons were so fire and she even said this " I want to live in the Celestial kingdom and keep my covenants". I'm telling you ...

Brooklyns Mikkola Mafia

Well everyone it's been another couple weeks. Honestly nothing exciting has happened so this is gonna be a quick email. Coolest thing for me is that the new missionary I'm training is Elder Andres from Pocatello Idaho.  He farms and Rides dirtbikes so it's been nice to finally have someone to talk about bikes with. Don't worry I'm not trunky yet.... anyways I'm doing great and I can't complain becuase I'm still alive. My patience gets tested every day but the spirit is with my so that's my saving grace.  The people here are wild but you have to bust your butt and have faith in the lord and you will find the ones.  Our friend Laseana I met a few weeks ago finally came. She brought a niece and a nephew. The niece who is less than 1 year just slept the whole entire time snd the nephew is like 3 and he ate 7 bananas that she brought. He kept taking them when she wasn't looking. Then during 2nd hour he puke everywhere in his class and it was crazy b...

Well ill just get this over with. Im so ashamed about how bad I am at writing emails. Lets get to the juicy stuff. Right now theres 3 things that are specifically on my mind. The first one is that we had our friend mahmoud get baptized. He converted from being a muslim to being a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. It was a cool experience and we went through alot to get him there with the lords help. Sunday morning 3 weeks ago no one was answering the phone for church so I randomly called his number and he picked up and he came to the church. Found out he had a desire to be baptized and the very next week. Soooo with alot of time and faith we taught him and he hasnt missed church since. 2nd thing..... For the first time my whole mission I got Punched/slapped it was kind of a mix. Just on coney island which is sketchy as Frick walking with this homie that I'm chill with. This other dude passed us and my friend just tried to introduce me to him. Then the dud...

My bad my bad

Hey everyone its been a long while since ive done any writing and i feel a bit guilty thats why im here haha. For those of you that dont know im living in brooklyn now and its been a wild ride and im loving every bit of it (almost...) we switched apartments almost a week into the transfer into a dumpy little apartment that needed and still needs some attention. I served the role as a plumber for a day. the p trap in the bathroom sink was rusted out and pouring water all over the place and no one said anything anything. the past tenants were pigs thats all i have to say. they didnt clean whatsoever , especially in the bathroom. I used a whole thing of paper towels and half a container of clorox wipes that was a nightmare. Oh i cant forget i had to recaulk the shower becuase the landlord wouldnt fix anything. ON the brightside we had two friends that were baptised this last week (anthony, Marjorie). they are some pretty cool people who wanted some change in theyre lives. Theres a b...

Well everyone you probably think im dead again you probably are upset with me. The mission has been pretty hectic lately. I ended up getting trasfered last thursday. My new comp is Elder Kwon from Korea. Funny story behind this. Some elders called us around 12 on thursday asking about a member in inwood, right before the conversations ended he mentioned his name was elder Kwon, and i blurted out of no where "Im excited to be comps with you" then 9 hours later i was called to go to brooklyn to be comps with Elder Kwon. The start of this trasfer has been really good so far. We had 4 people come to church on sunday who are really interested in baptism. Our finding area is mostly in coney island which is sketchy as heck but I want to find more than just a few new spots. Also my cousin Elder Beck is back in my district so thats nice. Theres a few of you who sent me letters I need to write back to so just know I didnt forget about you.  Please respond to this email if you love me...

Inwood

Well everyone we just had transfers and I'm still here in inwood with elder bjornberg. The mission has felt a little weird lately. All the sisters that came out with me are home now. It makes me feel old and I now realize I don't have much time left. However I'm gonna make the most of it becuase their ain't no going back ol son....  On the bright side of things our friends (recent converts) are doing really good and still attending church.  We are working with a few new friends so keep david, patrina and Danisha in your prayers.  I'm so excited for general conference this next week and I pray that I can stay awake completely for all the sessions(which I've never done) so we will see how it goes.  If you want shoot me an email back I'd love it . And yes I know I don't deserve it( but it would still be nice) Until next week Love, Elder Coca-Cola

Well everyone I'm still here in inwood. The work is going alright. We had a cool friend rose and her little brother that were going to get baptised. She called Saturday and said that she is no longer Interested in baptism and that she would rather live the worldly life. It kinda broke my heart but it happens so much I know that she will come back at some point and god will provide another friend for us to teach and baptise.  Transfers happened and as far as it goes on where I'm at and who I'm with I'm still in inwood. Im going to miss elder narvato and i love that man so much. He taught me so much about charity and being content with life and what we have. Im excited to go visit him in the Philippines some day! I'm with elder bjornberg. I did get a training call and I guess you could call me his trainer but he's been out for 20 months and he went home from another mission and came back out to NYC. I don't feel like a trainer at all but oh well we are working...
