Dec 5 email

Hey everyone one it's been another great week here on long Island. It's been in the 50°'s all week so that was nice. Every single morning this week I've woken up and ate 6 eggs scrambled with a couple handfuls of cheese. Just like grandpa mark cooks. Delicious. On Tuesday we got a call regarding a lady in our boundaries that needed a blessing. We came to her house not knowing what she was going through. She was in her 40's and she just lost her husband to cancer and she had just lost her house as well. It was so heartbreaking to hear. She has a 12 year old and an 8 year old she's having to raise by herself and I can't even imagine what she's going through. After we talked about her trials she was going through I anointed the oil and elder larson gave her the blessing. I felt the spirit so strongly. And I know the lady did too. She was crying so much after and I knew she felt that God was watching after. We had a short conversation and went on our way. After we left we were told by the member who referred her to us for a blessing that she didn't feel comfortable coming to church because we were polygamist and she didn't want to get involved with that. So he had to explain to her that we don't do that.   Pretty funny if you ask me. I've been running low on energy the last couple weeks. In that time I've drank close to 12 redbulls but don't worry I'm 4 days redbull sober at the moment and going strong. I know I can get over it again haha. On the 30th it was so windy and rainy that when we went to the Walmart parking lot to talk to people we ended up getting back in the car and watched shopping carts fly around the parking lot and hit cars. Then right when we went to leave the lady in the jeep next to us literally ran over a shopping cart got out and we checked for damage. Luckily there was none so that was good. She apparently borrowed the vehicle and was returning it so she got lucky. Oh and I've bought a couple rubix cubes. I solved one on accident the other night and that was neat. I went on an exchange with elder Smith this last week. It was an awesome day. I found 8 new people and they all committed to church and he only found 2. He was so confused but happy because I'm a brand new missionary. He could see how I could literally talk to anyone with no problem and I loved every second of it. That day I invited an older gentleman to church he said no so I talked to him about his car. A completely restored 89 Camero. One of the two reasons I wanted to go invite him to church. I'll put pictures after I get done writing this spicy email.  Also don't tell elder Smith this but he's a terrible driver and I wanted to tell him so bad. But it's ok. I kept my 'peaceful' thoughts to myself.  After the exchange was over I invited a younger man to church and noticed he had a newer v8 mustang which was sick. We talked about that for a minute after he said no to church. And I asked to take a picture of his car and he was honored. He even insisted that he revved it up for me before he left. Way cool guy. Anyways it was an good week. And this pday today was cool. We went bowling and I used a 14 pound ball and was throwing it like nothing. About 21mph. Oh yeah 💪. Then we went to Bubbas burritos and I got an idaho burrito with steak and extra Cheese. It weighed 2 pounds and i ate every bite of it. Surprisingly I've gained 12 pounds since I've started my mission so that's good. I also took a picture of a c8 corvette outside of the burrito place. Can't forget the weird Honda I found at Walmart the other day. Anyways I love you all and I'll send another next week.
