this week and last weeks hehe

      I am now a spanish elder. My new name tags are on the way and i am so excited.  I know i messed up and didnt write yall last week I dont really have any good excuses buttt lets get into whats going on in long island lately. i havent been writing in my journal so this might be hard to remember what happened but ill try my absolute best. I'll start at the beginning of last week. Our friend shampain that we are teaching is so awesome. Elder Larson first found her in the walmart parking lot and got her number and we sent her the church info. We tried calling her over the next few days but no answer. A week later he saw her at walmart again and she said she would actually come to church. She came on sunday with her two daughters Shimmer 4, and spara 1. They are the cutest little black girls ive ever seen and they love coming to church with their mom its so awesome. we have taught her all the lessons and everytime they come to the church for the lesson we go to the primary room so the girls they can play with the toys. At the end of the lessons i give them lots of high fives and sing the clean up song and i help them put all the toys away. little kids are the best. Shampain is also so awesome. she already has a testimony of the book of mormon and of the power and truth it holds, her prayers are so meaningful and i feel the spirit everytime we teach her. I can really say that ive seen the gospel change peoples lives as it has mine. After i moved out i really let the devil get the best of me. I was making some really really bad choices and kinda just let life go. I had nothing that i was looking forward to but when i decided to come back to church i felt the spirit so strongly and i cannot deny the power of the holy ghost. If anyone wouldve asked me about serving a mission a year ago i wouldve said heck no why would i waste my time. I know this church is true and god loves you no matter what your past looks like. I know that my trials have strengthened me and my testimony and love for this work. Im forever thankful for all of you and the influences you all have on my life. Once again god loves you. Dont ever forget it. Also i went on an exchange with the spanish elders and met a kid my age named brandon. He said he was gonna come to church but he never made it. But i got talking to him about his car. i cant remember what year but it was a v8 camaro that was straight piped. When he was leaving he revved up his car and i got it on video it was awesome. I also spotted a sick jeep in the same parking lot right after this dude pulled out the fattest blunt ive ever seen... it was a good week.  

            This last week has been an awesome week. Monday night we went to the avilas house before Elder larson was transferred to Manhattan. we had stuffed potatoes and RAW ROCK COD. It was really good buttt after i figure out it was raw it kinda made my stomach turn upside down. I puked all over the table infront of the family and it was so so so emberassng. Good thing that Im kidding. oh and im also kidding about being a spanish elder now. Maybe karmas gonna come get me and make me a spanerd. I got a new comp this week his name is Elder Kim. Hes from Rexburg which is pretty ironic if you ask me. We already get along so well and feel like hes my brother. The first night we got home we went to walmart to invite people to church and we found 19 People!!!!!!  We are doing the lords work and it makes me so happy to be here. Wednesday we were at walmart and this black dude was on a moped with a huge speaker riding around the doors and hopping around annoying people dying for attention. I stopped him on the road and invited him to church but he kindly declined and right after that i saw shampain again and comfirmed her lesson at the church later that night. Shes awesome and she must really love walmart. Ive seen so many sweet cars this week. One of my favorites was a i waanna sayyy aaaa 60's mustang baby blue color.  at our lesson with champain her daughter shimmer kept putting stickers on my hands and it was so cute. Friday we went to Manhattan to have Elder Haney from the 70 speak to us. This idaho nerd finally experienced the city and to say the least i dislike it very much. The subways are nasty the streets are gross especially in jamaica queens. Manhattan was nice but the only reason i thought it was cool is because of the sky scrapers which were awesome. but i would never ever wanna live there. Anyways thats not an option so i might grow to love it which i have no clue. zone conference was pretty cool. he talked alot about loving your companion no matter what and truly becoming to learn to teach and become brothers. Thats been pretty easy so far but i will try my best to keep it going. on the way back home i saw a few drill rigs that were on tracks... IT WAS AWESOME  and i managed to snag a video at the last second. ill send the videos seperatly if you wanna see them. but i did see alot of cool cars this week and i love you all so much and thank you all for the gifts and cards that have been sent. It means the world to me and i enjoy  reading all of them. God has a plan for us and i know he loves us and knows us individually.
