Another Monday Another email
Well this has been yet again another adventurous week in Jamaica queens. God has really been working with me lately. Teaching me lots of patience haha. Earlier this week I asked a crazy man if he Wanted to come to church, and he went on this rampage and got in my face, a couple inches away. If you really know me well, I don't handle that very well. In my head, I wanted to knock his teeth out, but I knew I was wearing a badge, so I told him simply but firmly to get out of my face. Right before I went to turn around to walk away, he told me to hit him, boy, he wanted it. I know the spirit was with me, or else I would've lost it with the man. I'm honestly trying my hardest to be patient even with the most difficult people. Please pray for me to have patience, haha. We did teach a few really good lessons. One of the. Being the Amaya family. All 5 of them are working towards baptism. The fathers whole family are members. He's struggling with coming to church, and there have been a lot of missionaries in the past that have been to this home. I ask every day that we will be the ones to help them enter into the waters of baptism. Sunday, we went to Tony James house. What a character. The dude loves missionaries, and sometimes, he forgets personal boundaries. If you haven't seen the video of me getting cradled like a baby, yet you are missing out. This week I've eaten a lot of rice and chicken. The budget in the city is bad. No washer and drier either, so we have to pay to do laundry. I just need to learn how to budget better is all, but i got it. Anyhow, if you want to learn more or better your life skills, the mission is the place to be. I can also see myself changing and my testimony growing every single day. The lord is always show me miracles.
I almost forgot about the dudes on dirtbikes and quads haha. Doing wheelies all over the road it's pretty sweet if you ask me. They are probably too crazy and are quite reckless but it made me feel so much better to just hear them. Anyways. Yeah it was great
I love you all and have an amazing week.
Love, Elder Mikkola
