Staten Island
Well I haven't written in a few weeks so here I am. I'm in Staten Island with my new companion elder Fischer from Utah. It's honestly been a little slow so far. Last week and this week we didn't have a single friend show up to church which was hard to see. The ward is struggling pretty bad id say. The meeting starts 15 minutes after ten because no one comes on time and hardly anyone comes at all. I haven't met the bishop yet and there's maybe 30 people Total. 4-5 of which are screaming kids whose parents don't take them out in the foyer. It's ok I'm still working on my patience. Elder Beck is in my district so that's cool. He's my cousin incase you didn't know. We went on an exchange so that was cool. As far as anything cool that I have been up to. I have been collecting hot wheel cars since January and I'm up to 42. Don't worry I sent 35 of them home today. I kept the 7 Important ones from the 90's with me. They are pretty dang cool and I am surprised I found them. Elder Fischer has been cool. We both have similar interests. Trucks/dirtbikes/guns/hot wheels, you name it. The works just a little slow but I know that as we stay diligent and stay humble we can see miracles. Today was 9/11 so it was cool to see the pillar lights from the new world trade center. It was a pretty humbling experience to see tonight as I remembered the people who died. I know that family's are forever and I wish all the people who's family membera were killed had that same knowledge. I'm so happy to have family and friends that are rooted in the gospel and I love every one of you. Have a good night.
