The work

This has definitely been a journey the last couple transfers. God has been testing me and testing me and testing me. Making it the hardest stretch of my mission so far. I've battled alot of obstacles including the area(can be slow sometimes), companion changes/struggles, and lots of anxiety but gods given me so much strength recently and it's increased my testimony so much. I know that if we are willing to submit to his will and do his work that he will provide, and that includes that he will provide for our family's and I can testify of that. He's helped my family in so many ways and we need to thank him for all those tender mercies.

It's the start of a new Transfer and I'm in Connecticut as a zone leader. Kind of a big change right? Good thing that I'm just kidding because that would be stressful haha. I'm still in Staten Island with Elder sharp. We had a baptism last Sunday for our friend Kenneth and it was a miracle actually. He's 17 and for the past week and a half he's been too scared to ask his parents for permission. The night before his baptism we had a study and we offered to give him a blessing to help comfort him. He felt alot better after and even though I've never given a blessing in a park we knew it was the right thing to do. At 3 in the morning we received a text and when we would up he said that he had asked his parents and after a long conversation they felt he's ready to make his own decisions. (Mind you his parents are catholic). Pretty crazy. All sunday morning besides the text we didn't have any contact with him but he showed up at 9:40 just before church with a huge smile on his face.

Fast forward to this week

We didn't have any new friends to church but kenneth came. He was a little nervous after 1st hour to go to young men's but he went and we found him after and he made some new friends. He even got Interviewed for the preisthood and for a temple recommend and he will be getting that next week!!!! God is so good!!

Mmm just trying to think if I've got anything else for you all.

Well as you know I'm in a car area I drive alot and I mean like 40 miles a day. I know that's not alot compared to at home but yeah. Anyways we have a driving monitoring system called tiwi that I absolutely hate and its so sensitive. We have a 23 Nissan rogue. Every time you go off the line even half throttle you get what's called (aggressive driving) and docs you some points. Eventually you lose so many points that you go into the yellow zone. If you lose too many you go into the red. I've gotten a few phone calls that I was in the yellow. I drive so much better than I did at home. Not trying to be a race car driver 100% of the time. More like 75% . I mean they can't just give me a car with a turbo and paddle shifters with sports mode and expect me(elder mikkola) to not hot rod it. But anyway if you saw traffic here you would understand why I love weaving in and out of cars. Part of it is my race car driver habits and the other is patience. I had to take a driver's safety class online last week because I've been in the yellow so much but I got it done in 5 min and got my driving privileges back. Thank heavenly father for that one. I would go crazy riding with my comp. No offense to him but he drives like a grandma. Anyways I've been doing good and I do apologize for not writing but I love you all and I look forward to hearing from you!!!!

Oh wait wait and I went on my last exchange with elder beck😪

Love, Elder Coca-Cola
