Elder Mikkolas once a month email

Well jts been another few weeks but i guess i managed to make it back to the keyboard. It's been quite the grind like usual and we have been struggling to find lots of people. We have had a pretty good progressing pool so that's been nice. We have a family that we are teaching. Chris, Kayla and Destiny are all preparing to be baptised on the 24th of december. Right now they are struggling to know if they want to get married or not. We gave them homework to read the family a proclamation to the world. We are working with them alot and we know that the spirit is going to lead them to the water. We did have a miracle baptism for our friends Lilian and Leo. Last week one of the Spanish missionaries here in staten met them on the street and referred us to them and we gave them a call. They made it to church that sunday but they came after the sacrament so we planned on baptising them on the 24th. The next week we struggled to teach them consistently as she's a busy mom that doesn't have a car having to uber all around the island. Thursday we finally had a solid restoration lesson outside of the mall on some benches. Just like always the spirit was so strong. She still felt like she was prepared to be baptised on the 24th. A few of our friends that were preparing for the 17th fell off and we had set a goal with god to baptise 2 friends. We knew we had some work to do so we didn't give up on her. We got her to come to the ward christmas party on saturday and we had a chance to teach her a little and even do her mock interview to show her she was ready. She answered all the questions right and she knew that this is what she wanted. We talked to her about being baptised the next day and she knew that's what god wants for her and Leo so she said yes. The next morning we had no contact with her until 9:30 in the morning 30 mins before church. We received a text from her sayin she had just woken up and that she was in severe pain that night and she was surprised she didn't go to the ER. After I read it we called her and she said she wasn't sure if she would make it but we got her to promise to come. She called a cab immediately and she showed up right after the sacrament again. We knew and she knew but most importantly God knew she was supposed to be baptised. I was asked to give the closing prayer and right after I sat next to the bishop and asked him for his advice. He said that if she has the desire to be baptised and willing to keep coming to church to just help her be baptised. It was honestly a spiritual humbling moment but God's will was going to be done. During the second hour of church we taught her and leo the Plan of Salvation and they both passed they're interviews. Then right after church they made an everlasting covenant with god. I truly know from the bottom of my heart that when someone is ready to start the covenant relationship with our father in heaven that nothing will stop them. I know that this gospel is true and there are so many people coming unto christ especially during this christmas season. If you are struggling with your testimony please read the book of mormon. I promise you will regain your testimony and you will continue to build upon it. I love you all and im sorry that i suck at responding to emails. Missionary work has been a grind and time has been flying. Only 10 more months of sharing the gospel so ive got to make the most of it.  Have a good week.      Love,        Elder Coca-Cola
